The latest Kit from Embest, the Embest DevKit8000, Single Board Computer has an OMAP3530 microprocessor. All OMAP features are fully supported and the board supports up to 256MByte Duel Data Rate RAM (DDR) SDRAM and 256 MByte NAND Flash. The system also supports a high-speed USB2.0 OTG port.
Many additional hardware are included such as: an RS232 serial port, an LCD/TSP, DVI-D, S-Video, Ethernet port, SD/MMC, keyboard, camera interface, Serial Peripheral interface (SPI), I2C and Joint Test Action Group (JTAG IEEE 1149.1).
The board supports duel boot from either SD card or NAND flash. WinCE and Linux OS are provided (WinCE6.0 BSP and Linux2.6.28 BSP). Google Android OS, Angstrom (GPE) is also supported
The DevKit8000 Eval Kit includes the DevKit8000 eval board and all accessories needed to help users with new multimedia designs. The board comes pre-loaded with Linux in NAND FLASH and WinCE on an SD card.
A a 4.3″ TFT LCD and Touch screen display is supported using a DVI-D monitor through an HDMI to DVI-D cable, or using TV for NTSC/PAL video out.
The USB/OTG interface can be used as USB Host with a Mini-A to Standard-A cable, or as a USB Device function with a Mini-B to Standard-A cable.
The board has audio/video codecs, and 64, MPEG4, CIF, and D1 media can be used. Embest provides users’ manual, schematics and documents.
